Huawei Nova 16 In-Depth Review
Price and Availability in Bangladesh
The Huawei Nova 16 officially debuted on June 6, 2026. In Bangladesh, it is available unofficially with a starting price of roughly ৳62,000 for the base 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, moving up to ৳72,000 for the 512GB variant.
Design, Ergonomics & Durability
Showcasing a flagship-like aesthetic, the phone boasts an elegant aluminum back paired with a glass front and plastic frame. Measuring just 7.3mm in thickness and weighing 199 grams, it is highly comfortable to hold. Additionally, it features an IP65 rating for moderate dust and water resistance.
Display Quality & Refresh Rate
Media consumption on this device is a treat, thanks to its 6.68-inch OLED panel. Delivering a high-res 1280×2800 pixel display (1.5K) alongside a 120Hz refresh rate, 1B colors, and HDR Vivid support, the screen guarantees vibrant visuals. The 2160Hz PWM dimming also prevents eye strain during low-light usage.
Performance & Software Experience
Driven by Huawei’s own Kirin 9010S chipset, the smartphone operates smoothly whether you’re gaming or multitasking. With 12GB of RAM across all variants and the refined HarmonyOS 6.0, the ecosystem is fluid—although it lacks native Google Play Services, which might be a downside for some users.
Primary Rear Camera Performance
The camera setup is a unique dual-lens array. It pairs a primary 50MP sensor with an impressive 50MP periscope telephoto lens featuring OIS and 3.7x optical zoom. The absence of an ultrawide lens is noticeable, but the zooming capabilities and color spectrum sensor ensure top-tier portraits and distant shots.
Selfie Camera & Video Recording
Taking care of selfies is a massive 50MP ultrawide front camera. Both the front and rear cameras are fully capable of recording high-quality 4K videos equipped with gyro-EIS for superb stabilization.
Battery Endurance & Super Fast Charging
Battery anxiety is eliminated by a colossal 7000mAh battery packed within its slim profile. Furthermore, Huawei includes a blistering 100W fast charging system that tops up the battery incredibly fast, plus 5W reverse charging to assist other gadgets.
Connectivity & Extra Features
It remains highly future-proofed with advanced connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 7, the latest Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and an IR Blaster. It provides an immersive audio experience with stereo speakers but sticks to a USB Type-C 2.0 port.
Final Verdict & Overall Value
At an unofficial price tag starting at BDT 62,000, the Huawei Nova 16 shines for users prioritizing battery life (7000mAh), insane charging speeds, and a premium 1.5K OLED display. If you can adapt to HarmonyOS and do not mind the lack of an ultrawide lens, it is undoubtedly a powerful piece of tech.
